Pumpspeicherwerk) den Selbstversorgungsanteil erhöhen können, welche Kosten und Erlöse sich für die area ergeben und wie viel Treibhausgas-Emissionen eingespart werden können.

Es wurde ermittelt, dass der Strombedarf bereits 2010 zu 15 %durch Strom aus EE-Anlagen gedeckt wurde.

Darüber hinaus verfügt die SUN-Region über mehr Flächen- bzw. Erzeugungspotenziale für den Ausbau von EE als für das angestrebte Ziel notwendig sind.
